... Horse Riding with Confidence

Since 2004 Jane Brindley has been helping horse riders, from all over Scotland, to reach their goals, overcome confidence issues and to get the most out of their riding.

Drawing on her extensive training and experience in counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and NLP Jane is able to help you change the way you think and feel about your riding and teach you useful techniques which will help you overcome the barriers which may be holding you back.

Jane has been able to help many riders, from novices to those competing at national level and is experienced in helping riders in 1:1 sessions, groups, talks, clinics and workshops - see Services.

Working with riders 'off horse', where you can be totally comfortable, you will learn how you can change as a rider, move out of your comfort zone and learn to use your thoughts in a more helpful way.

Whilst specialising in helping horse riders Jane is also very experienced in helping people in many other areas of life.  Approximately two-thirds of her clients are riders and the others are people looking for non-riding related issues - see Life Therapy.

... Jane Brindley

Jane has owned and ridden horses for many years and, using what she has learned, has been able to deal with her own riding confidence issues.

With a background in nursing and midwifery, Jane decided to change direction and re-trained as a hypno-psychotherapist with the well respected National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and soon realised the potential that this training had to help riders.  To this end her dissertation was on the subject of the use of hypnosis in sport with particular reference to horse riding.

Jane is a full member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (NRHP). She is fully insured and adheres to the code of ethics of the NRHP.  This includes a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).   She is a member of the National College Student and Alumnus Guild (NCSAG) and through this body is registered with the UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKHCO).

In 2014 Jane qualified as a specialist in anxiety and uses this knowledge with her clients to great effect.
